My name is Malia Latu, and I'm based in Auckland, New Zealand. I am the photographer behind MLK. Depending on the photoshoot requirements, you may meet me with my business partner.

My photography background comes from both passion and studies. My first job during high school was editing photos for a newspaper car advertisement. My first memory of a camera was a fuji film digital camera at the age of 12 helping my dad cover family events.

I have a Master's degree in Communications studies (Hons) major in Public Relations, where I undertook photography papers and took any opportunity related to photography and videography to enhance my skills.

 

Photography became a serious endeavour for me when I took on my first big wedding gig in 2019. Since then, I've had the privilege to capture many beautiful moments.

 

As a freelance photographer, I love the independence and the opportunity to work with people from different backgrounds and different goals, making them look and feel AMAZING :)
